Jessie and Eric-married!

First off, I need to apologize for not posting for a while! Last weekend was so busy for me. It took a good couple days to re-cooperate :)  This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Jessie and Eric’s wedding. They got ready at the Dana Inn and had their ceremony and reception at Marina Village. What a gorgeous day and couple! Jessie and Eric are so easy going and laid back. It was obvious the love that they shared with each other. Here are a few shots from their wedding day.2.jpg-Love the color of her eye makeup

Pink Peonies

I love peoniesMartha Stewart had an issue of just peonies a few months ago and I loved it. I know, I am a nerd. Next to Dahlia’s they are probably one of my favorite flowers. Yesterday my sister in law and I went to the Wholesale flower shop and I got some Peonies. They weren’t cheap, but they are so pretty! I found out that peonies only have a short bloom period of 3 weeks and this is the last week. I am bummed, but I am so happy I am getting to enjoy my beautiful flowers right now. When I brought them home they were really tight little balls. After I cut their stems and put them in some water they really opened up. These pictures were taken this morning and they are already even more open. So, here are these beautiful flowers for you all to enjoy. peonies1.jpg-I am not usually a texture person but I have been playing around with my new Totally Rad Actions 2.

Frustrating morning

This morning Aiden and I headed out to Target. I had him in the cart and a container in the back of the cart. I went there for some large storage containers. So, I had to drag the containers behind me while pushing the cart. I had about 10 employees look at me. I even stopped one of them to ask where the toilet paper was, while out of breath. Not ONE person asked if I needed help. No ONE!!! Of course I can do it by myself, but it would have been nice if someone would have asked me if they could help me. People just don’t seem to be as nice these days as they used to.Anyway, that’s my rant today….. Here’s another cute picture of Aiden in his tux. He liked this caterpillar. wedding3.jpg

Two more

The real reason we were in New Jersey was because Mark’s younger brother, Shaun got married. It was a beautiful wedding. Since I was a guest at the wedding and Mark and Aiden were in the bridal party, I didn’t really have a chance to take many pictures. It was a nice change to actually attend a wedding as a guest and not a photographer. Here are a few shots I snagged. wedding2.jpg-This first shot was taken at the rehearsal. This is my niece Athena. She loved Aiden. They played so great together. In this shot, she is grabbing him falling backwards and they both look so happy. I love it!!
wedding1.jpg -Here are all the kids with Uncle Shaun. They all look so wonderful, but I think Aiden is the most handsome little boy ever!! He looks so adorablein his tuxedo!!  ***Hugs to you all!***

New York -Long Post and lots of pictures!!

**I feel like I need to put a disclaimer here: I don’t know why I think everyone really cares about where we were, I just want to share my photos. Yes, there are TON in this post!! Sorry for the photo overload!!
We flew out for New Jersey late Tuesday night. Aiden decided that he didn’t want to sleep on the plane, oh joy! We got into Philly at 6am, got the rental car and drove to Tom’s River, NJ. We arrived in NJ at about 8:30am and we were off on the road again to New York at 9:30am. Thanks to my mother in law for watching Aiden! Mark was volunteered to drive to NY. For us West Coasters, seeing a toll road every few miles was crazy!!! The closer we got to the city the more expensive the toll. Yikes! We followed Mapquest’s directions on how to get to the city. We were cruising along great until, STOP, traffic!! Oh yeah, New York has crazy traffic. Mistake #1-NEVER drive into New York city!! NEVER!

  • We made it through the Lincoln tunnel. Which felt like forever to a claustrophobic person!
  • Tony thought we would be able to find handicap parking near Central Park, on the street. Ha Ha, Tony! After driving around for about an hour we caved into paying for parking. We pull into the parking garage and for 2 hours it was $55.00!!!! WHAT!!!?
  • So, due to our outrageously priced parking, we had to see everything we could in 2 hours. What an adventure!
  • A lot of my pictures were taken from the car window due to the parking craziness.

So, here a BUNCH of pictures from New York. We had a BLAST!ny1.jpg
