Leanne and Kyle-engaged!

When I first met Leanne and Kyle I knew we would be a good fit! I then found out that Leanne likes pizza too. She has been named my pizza buddy. I love it! :)

Lots of laughing was involved with Leanne and Kyle. I love how real they are. They aren’t afraid to be themselves in front of each other, or the camera :) Here are a few images from the awesome session.

See, laughing. I love these real moments!

The light was so yummy

Drink it in, it always goes down smooth :)

Can you say canvas? So hot!!

Love the colors of the leaves!!

I also love the color of the ground!!

Thanks Leanne and Kyle. You guys are awesome! Now, let’s go get some pizza :)

Medlock family

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the Medlock family. They are such a sweet family. So loving and fun. Here are just a few images from our shoot last week.

I absolutely love this image!

Thanks so much Medlock family!! I had a great time with you all!!

Stacy and Kiran

Warning…this post may or may not be sappy…..

These are my best friends. I say they both are because I have known them for just about the same amount of time. It seems like only yesterday we were in high school together, going to football games and Denny’s. But, it’s been about 11 years now since we graduated. Man, I can’t believe that! I have seen these two through pretty much everything and they have seen me through the same. They are my family, I love them!

They brought along their new “baby” Brooklyn for their photoshoot. Brooklyn will soon be a big sister because they are expecting their first baby in February! I will be an auntie, again :) I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t wait to spoil her! Yes, it’s a girl :)

So, here are just a few shots of two of my most favorite people in the world.

These are my favorite pictures!! I said something funny and got the most pure emotion. I love it. It is SO them!

Don’t you just want to kiss her, Brooklyn that is :)

Seriously, hot stuff!

This one reminded me of their last year’s Christmas card photo. I love it!

This wasn’t planned and I think that’s why I love it so much. I was taking some shots of Kiran for his facebook profile. Kiran must have done something to make Stacy laugh. I love it. That’s my girl! :)

Yes, I know another one of Brooklyn. I couldn’t help it!

Kiran got an iPhone the day before so I thought it fitting to do a photo with it :)

**I warned you this post was mushy, I don’t care though. I love my friends!!**

Bellofatto family

I have been really busy lately, which is wonderful! I am so thankful for my clients and their patience with me!

Michelle is one of my photo buddies. She contacted me months ago to do their family photos. I was honored and a little nervous. It’s always a little scarier photographing another photographer. Her family was so awesome! She has trained them well!

I got a bunch of wonderful shots. Here is just a quick sneak peak for the Bellafatto family.

I have been getting emails on what textures I use. Here is the recipe for this photo.

Clairefy, Flare Up (golden),Sparta,Oh Snap. Textures: Dirty Birdie, Dirty Diana, Used Bag

I loved this moment between Mason and Daddy.

We had to do a jump shot. Look at the air they got!

I think this one is so cute!

Cute Family!

Thank you so much Michelle! You were so awesome! I hope you like your images. Your gallery is coming SOON.

**All images processed with these fabulous actions**

Chloe

Last week I photographed Chloe. Her mommy wanted to try a Candy Shoppe here in town. I am always up for a challenge. So, we met there and had some fun. Chloe loved everything she could touch and eat! It was great to watch her explore the shop. I had never been to this place before so I didn’t know what to expect. It was very cute. The lighting was not so wonderful though :) I had to use my flash for a lot of the images, but there are still some cute ones of Chloe playing with the candy. Here are just a few images

I was going for the Old Time, vintage theme with the post processing :)

This is my favorite. It might be the combination of her expression and the natural light :)

Yeah for Candy!!!

Mmm, chocoloate!

I was really bummed they didn’t have any round, colorful suckers :( Oh well.

Chloe had lots of fun in the candy shop. It was a bit challenging at times for pictures to keep her attention. But I think we got some cute ones :)

Thanks Amy and Chloe! :)

HELP!!

Last night when I was trying to restart my computer I had my iPhone plugged in to charge it.

This morning I realized that somehow all of my phone contacts are gone along will all of my email contacts.

So, if you know how to help me get these back PLEASE help me!! I have a Mac.

If not, I need you to give me your email and phone number again. I lost everything :(

Just so you know, I am not happy!!

Thanks everyone!!

Beautiful Changes

A lot has been happening around Melissa Koehler Photography and also around the Koehler household. I am so incredibly blessed. I have the best two jobs in the world. Being Aiden’s mommy and also being able to do what I love, photography. I never dreamed I would be able to be so fulfilled. I have to admit at times it’s been hard to find the balance between wife/mommy and photographer.

This year has brought so many amazing people into my life. I have the most wonderful friends and family that support me and continue to cheer me on. I couldn’t be where I am today without you all. I also have had the pleasure of meeting some truly amazing people this year. All of my clients! Thank you all for choosing me to photograph your lives. I am so honored!

I have my dream job! I am so blessed!!!

While I realize we still have approximately a month and a half left of this year, I wanted to announce that I will be making a few changes for next year. I am very excited about them and just wanted to share with you all that more good things are to come :)

On another note, if you have made it this far, I am completely booked for 2008. If you would like to be placed on my 2009 list please email me meli@melissakoehlerphotography.com

Thanks again everyone! I feel truly loved!

Henssler Family

Isn’t this family so adorable? The beach is very important to this family. They used to live near here and this was Addie’s first time really playing at the beach. She loved the water and the sand. I can tell she is going to be a beach goer later in life :) I was so thrilled when Addie showed up in a cute tutu and wings. I could tell it was going to be a great session!

Mommy and Daddy showing Addie the water

Addie loves airplanes. I was excited I got this shot.

Cute family!

I really loved this shot :)

Thank you so much for patiently waiting for your sneak peak Henssler family! I hope you love your images.

Hugs!

Kelly and Jon

What a cute couple! Kelly and Jon brought their “babies” out for pictures at the beach. Isn’t it great that we can do holiday photos and you can still wear sleevless dresses on the beach? I love San Diego!! :)

Kelly and Jon were such good models for me! I was so excited about these images. I mean, how could you go wrong with such good looking people?

Serious hotness! :) Thanks Kelly and Jon! xoxo

Evan

How do I get to be so lucky? I have the best job! I got to photograph Evan last week for his headshots. Evan is signed to Ford models and also does commercials and movies. Email if you are interested in his info. All of these accomplishments and he is only 6!! I feel like there is so much in store for this heartbreaker!

I love this shot. I feel like we are looking at a future movie star!

I don’t know why, but this one is my favorite!

This was my first time shooting a signed model. I love it! I definitely want to do it again! Thanks for a great shoot Evan!
